TradeHire is a family-run business specialising in scaffolding, roof edge protection, and shrinkwrap. We’ve completed 60,000+ jobs across Greater Auckland over 20 years, working with trade teams, builders, and homeowners who need safe access without the wait.
We built TradeHire around a simple idea: access should be our challenge, not yours. That means strong communication, solid workmanship, and standing by our estimates and deadlines, so you know exactly where you stand.
We’re Site Safe accredited, and we’re just as comfortable on a small residential reroof as we are on a larger commercial site. No job is too big or too small.

Rod Mclean
Director, TradeHire
Rod started TradeHire around 20 years ago with a simple idea: give builders and homeowners scaffolding they can rely on, from people who actually turn up when they say they will. Two decades on, that's still how the business runs.
When he's not on site or sorting the next job, you'll usually find Rod on a beach walk or spending time with his family. It's that same down-to-earth approach he brings to every TradeHire project across Greater Auckland.
